BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors works collectively to oversee the strategic direction of the Malérargues Endowment Fund and uphold its mission in the public interest. It ensures responsible stewardship of the fund’s resources, in support of its long-term vision and in accordance with its statutes. Board members serve on a voluntary basis and bring internationally diverse perspectives shaped by their artistic, cultural, and professional experience.
The board is supported in its projects by an active team of volunteer contributors.
Lucienne Deschamps
Paris, France
French actress, singer, and poet, Lucienne Deschamps is a founding member and President of the Malérargues Endowment Fund. She was one of the original members of the Roy Hart Theatre to discover Malérargues and moved there with the company in 1974.
Saule Ryan
Malérargues, France
Vice‑President and founder member of the Malérargues Endowment Fund and the Roy Hart Theatre, Saule is a seasoned performer and teacher at the Roy Hart Voice Centre. He has lived at Malérargues for over fifty years.
Daniel Rivers-Moore
Bristol, United Kingdom
Treasurer. Daniel is a retired information technology and services professional and a founding member of the Roy Hart Theatre, who played an instrumental role in the acquisition of the estate by the company in the 1970s. He joined the Board of Directors in 2024.
Siobhán McCann
Montreal, Canada
Executive Coach Siobhán McCann brings thirty years of international, cross-cultural administrative and consulting experience to her roles as Secretary and Webmaster. She has volunteered in numerous capacities within the Malérargues ecosystem notably in communications, fundraising, and governance. She was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2022.
Costanza Amici
Perugia, Italy
Costanza is an anthropologist and ethnoclinical mediator. She is a Roy Hart Voice Centre teacher and a founding member of the board of directors of the Malérargues Endowment Fund.
Angelo de Bernardo
Malérargues, France
Retired entrepreneur and former manager of SCI Fondation de Malérargues Angelo de Bernardo is one of the co-founders and former Treasurer of the Malérargues Endowment Fund.
David Goldsworthy
Thoiras, France
David is a photographer, artist and co-director of the professional training organisation Dia Pasôn. He is a founding member of the Roy Hart Theatre and of the Malérargues Endowment Fund.
Maryline Guitton
Paris, France
Maryline is a singer, performer, Roy Hart Voice Centre teacher, and co-founder of the Malérargues Endowment Fund.
Jonathan Hart Makwaia
New York, USA
Composer, musical director, performer, and Associate Arts Professor of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Jonathan is a founding member of the Roy Hart Theatre and of the Malérargues Endowment Fund.
Margaret Pikes-Hein
Lasalle, France
Co-founder and former secretary of the board, Margaret is a singer, teacher, founding member of the Roy Hart Theatre and co-author of Owning our Voices: Vocal Discovery in the Wolfsohn - Hart Tradition. She supports the Fund’s fundraising initiatives and is an active contributor to communications and editorial content.
Giovanna Sverzellati
Milan, Italy
A member of the Milan Bar, lawyer Giovanna Sverzellati contributes a wealth of legal knowledge and experience in her role as member of the board of directors since 2024. She is also an actor and singer and has been active member of the Malérargues ecosystem for many years.
Linda Wise
Paris and Malérargues, France
Linda is an actress, theatre director, voice teacher, and co-director of the company Pantheatre.She is a founding member of the Roy Hart Theatre and joined the board of directors in 2024. In addition to her work on the board, Linda is also a moderator of the Friends of Malérargues online discussion platform.
VOLUNTEER CONTRIBUTORS
Ian Magilton
Actor, theatre director, voice teacher, and author of Roy Hart Theatre at Malérargues, Ian is a founding member of the Malérargues Endowment Fund and of the Roy Hart Theatre. A generative presence at the crossroads of ideas, people, and practices, he advises on the artistic direction of communication materials in support of the Fund’s artistic and institutional vision.

Ivan Midderigh
Ivan is an actor, singer, voice teacher, leadership communications trainer, and author of The Roy Hart Theatre, A Personal Recollection: Roy Hart Theatre Photographic Archives and Before and Beyond: Roy Hart Theatre. He is a founding member of the Roy Hart Theatre and curator of the company’s photographic archive. As website photographer Ivan helps shape the visual identity of the Malérargues Endowment Fund’s online presence. Ivan also co-moderates the Friends of Malérargues online discussion platform.
