The Malérargues Endowment Fund exists to move our home from private individual ownership to a protected public-interest endowment — ensuring that the Château de Malérargues and our theatre and studios remain a sanctuary for the voice, for the next fifty years and beyond.

Everyone who has a connection to Malérargues — those of you who work here, those of you who carry the voice work into the world beyond Malérargues, those of you who remember what you received here, those of you who believe in all that this place represents — can become a part of the story by making a donation, however modest or generous.
Tax benefit: the Malérargues Endowment Fund is a legally constituted French fonds de dotation operating exclusively in the public interest. Depending on your country of residence, your gift may be tax-deductible. For French taxpayers, all donations are 66% tax-deductible under Article 200 of the Code général des impôts. A gift of €100 costs you only €34 (subject to the level of your tax liability). We encourage international donors to consult their local tax advisor.

The Malérargues Endowment Fund was established in 2021 as a philanthropic entity, devoted to ensuring the perpetuity and prosperity both of the property and of the voice work and our cultural and artistic legacy. To guarantee this continuity, it aims to legally assume ownership of the estate in order to preserve it as a protected site unencumbered by private patrimonial interests and ensure the longevity and prosperity of the Roy Hart Voice Centre.
Our goal is to grow the core endowment to establish long-term funds dedicated to the transmission of the voice work through the provision of financial assistance to students wishing to pursue their artistic and vocal studies at Malérargues, as well as to supporting the creation and performance of new musical and theatrical work in the Roy Hart Theatre tradition.
The Malérargues Endowment fund will also support the ongoing digitisation and preservation of the Roy Hart Theatre Archive, which conserves over a century of pioneering research and creativity — the intellectual and artistic legacy of Alfred Wolfsohn, Roy Hart, and the Roy Hart Theatre, and provide support for new publications and audiovisual productions.
Our purpose is to ensure the long-term future of Malérargues.

LEGACY GIVING
Leave a gift in your will to ensure that Malérargues remains a sanctuary for the voice for coming generations. By including the Fonds de Dotation Malérargues in your estate planning, you make a commitment that lasts beyond your lifetime.
There are several ways to make a legacy gift:
Bequests: Designate a specific amount, a percentage, or the residue of your estate. There is no minimum — every bequest, whatever its size, matters deeply to the future of Malérargues. As a French fonds de dotation operating in the public interest, the Fund is exempt from inheritance tax — meaning the entirety of your bequest goes directly to Malérargues.
Life Insurance: Name the Fund as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, in whole or in part. This can be done at any time simply by contacting your insurer.
